ABOUT NORTH STATE SINGLES
MINISTRY
Our leadership team is from the Seventh-day Adventist church
(what is that?) and we are made up of Sabbath & Sunday worshippers so that we can grow together in the knowledge of our Savior Jesus Christ.
NSSM is not a traditional singles group. We are a friendship ministry made up of adults who like being in a group and have a heart for Jesus and for people. Our number one goal is to spread the love of Jesus in our
community and help each other grow in our relationship with God.
We are designed for active, Bible believing, Jesus loving adults, from 36 to early 60's years of age. (If you are outside that age range you may find that our
group cannot meet your needs). If you do not know Jesus or His Bible,
we would love to help you get acquainted with Jesus.
We accept the legally separated, divorced, widowed, and the never married.
Our favorite activities consist of a monthly group Bible study in Redding on the book of Acts, a monthly Christian life support group in Anderson, and our monthly homeless ministry in Redding. We also have outdoor activities, socials, and other community outreach events as time allows.
Our events are often held at a local Seventh-day Adventist church.
DRUG USE: NSSM does not allow its members to use “mind altering” drugs such as illegal drugs and marijuana (even medical). Anyone using these
drugs may be asked to leave the group.

NSSM RULES & GOALS _______________________________________
*Our goal is to grow more like Jesus, and each member should enjoy daily time praying, studying the Bible, or watching Christian television.
*Mate-seeking is not a goal of our group. Dating is allowed, but discretion needs to be exercised. Some of our singles do not want to date or marry. Members should be respectful towards the opposite sex and not push a relationship upon another.
*Because we uphold biblical principles of morality, members should strive for sexual purity. Seducing other members is grounds for dismissal from the group.
*Since the Holy Spirit speaks through our minds, our members will not ingest illegal drugs and marijuana (even medical). We should refrain from attending events with alcohol on our breath. Using illegal drugs or marijuana is grounds for dismissal.
*We want to love like Jesus loves. Therefore we will refrain from discussing other members’ faults. We will strive to love and accept people as they are, because we are all struggling with problems and weaknesses.
*We will uphold the Bible as God’s Word to us, to guide us to truth and God’s will for our lives. We will strive to be teachable and not force our beliefs on others or insist that only our beliefs are correct. We will be willing to see what the Bible teaches and compare scripture with scripture.
*Smoking is allowed at a distance from the group. When meeting at a member’s home, please bring an ash tray and pick up after yourself.
*Members may bring their children to events, but may not bring other people’s children (such as grandchildren or neighbors). No children under 14 are allowed at Life Support.
*No child care is available at our events. Parents are responsible for their children’s behavior.
*Uplifting words that do not hurt or offend will be a blessing to our members. Profanity is not accepted.
