North State Singles Ministry
Divorce Recovery
Once a year, our singles Ministry sponsors a divorce recovery seminar.
The last eight session seminar was September - November, 2010. We may do a seminar around September in 2012. Let us know if you are interested.
Our divorce recovery seminar will appeal to Christians and non-Christians. It is not a “religious” activity and is designed only for those going through a divorce or have been divorced recently or within the last year. Couples who are trying to mend their relationship will not benefit from this seminar.
Some of the seminar topics will be issues concerned with the legal, financial, social, and parental problems of divorce. There will be assignments given each week.

Divorce is one of the most devastating events that can happen in an individual's life. It is an event that affects every part of life - social, physical, financial, family, spiritual - and to recover from such an event takes time and effort. In America about one half of marriages end in divorce.
Depending upon whether you chose to leave the relationship or whether you were pushed out may be a reason to experience more difficulty. Choosing to leave probably helps you deal with the circumstances of the divorce.
Because of the all encompassing affect that this event creates - it may take everything you have to help you deal with the different parts of divorce.
The book we use and the class is designed to help you through this very difficult time.
